If you provide holiday accommodation be sure that you are following the government’s covid-19 advice for accommodation providers.
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) is committed to making and keeping our communities safer . With this in mind and the expansion of tourism in Derbyshire and the Peak District we have launched a ‘Tourism Campaign’ to address the fire safety requirements in self-catering holiday lets.
Owners do not always realise that when they let out their house as a self-catering holiday let, it must comply with the requirements of the Fire Safety Order. This may require additional fire safety measures to be taken.
To assist owners and managers of these premises, we have produced a simple guidance document which draws together existing advice and guidance into one easy-to-read leaflet. Owners and managers can use this so that they can check their compliance with Fire safety Law and are that they are keeping people who stay in them safe.
