Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is excited to announce a new sponsorship deal with Volvo Derby to help raise additional funds for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The sponsorship from Volvo Derby has allowed the Service to buy eight car wash kit boxes containing a donations bucket, wash buckets, sponges, brushes, cloths, and squeegee, to allow charity cars washes to continue to take place across stations.
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service raised £8,000 for The Fire Fighters Charity through charity car washes, putting us second place on the national league table.
Pam Thindal, DFRS Charity Car Wash Coordinator, said: “Crews did a fantastic job of raising funds for the charity last year. The Charity plays an important role in offering lifelong mental, physical, and social support for all serving and retired members of the UK’s fire family; so, this year with the help of the new kit boxes, we’re aiming to top the national league table and raise even more.”
Alan Westwood, Head of Business at Volvo Derby, said: “The work that the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service do on a daily basis is so important to the local community and these charity car washes provide much needed support to our incredible members of the Fire Service. We are extremely pleased to be able to support their aim to top the leaderboard in 2022!”
