Newbridge Street, Chesterfield Fire

Several fire engines and an aerial ladder platform are currently dealing with a garage fire at a domestic property on Newbridge Street in Old Wittington, Chesterfield.

Emergency services were called to attend the fire following a 999 call to our control room at 13.29 hours this afternoon (Thursday 17 April).

People in the local area who can see or smell smoke are advised to keep their windows and doors closed. 

Due to the large emergency service presence, please avoid the area while emergency services deal with the incident.
