Firefighters Attend Serious Fire In Ilkeston

At 07:49 hours on Tuesday 8 December 2020, Firefighters were called to attend a serious fire at a bungalow on Rossendale, Ilkeston.

Crews from Ilkeston, Heanor and Nottinghamshire’s Eastwood station attended the fire and rescued an 89 year old gentleman from the property.  Firefighters carried out first aid on the gentleman before handing him into the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service who took him to hospital.

A joint fire investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
