Fire - Pool Street, Church Gresley


Firefighters continue to fight a fire at an industrial property on Pool Street, Church Gresley and are expected to be in attendance for the next few hours damping down and dealing with any hot spots.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to attend the fire at 3.59 hours this morning, Friday 9 November. Fire crews from Swadlincote (x 2), Melbourne, Burton-on-Trent, Ashby, Castle Donnington and Coalville initially responded to the fire, supported by an aerial ladder platform.

The incident has now been scaled back and three crews remain on scene from Nottingham Road, and two from Swadlincote.

A fire investigation into the cause of the fire will commence once the fire is out and the building is safe to enter.

There are no road closures in place, although people are advised to avoid Pool Street.

There is no further information at this time.
