At 00.50 hours on Friday 26 January 2018, firefighters from Ascot Drive, Kingsway and Nottingham Road attended a ground floor flat fire on Brighton Road, Alvaston.

On entry to the property firefighters discovered a 60 year old male who was sadly deceased.  Our thoughts and sympathies go out to the family and friends of the deceased at this distressing time.
