Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) has been named 19th on this year’s Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List (IT50).
Now in its seventh year, the Inclusive Employers List displays a collection of the most inclusive employers from across the UK and shines a light on best practice for inclusion across all strands of diversity including age, disability, gender, LGBT, race, faith and religion.
DFRS is proud to have achieved a ranking within the top 50 and is just one of two fire and rescue services to have made the overall list.
The position is a testament to not only the efforts of the Inclusion team and their dedication to embed inclusivity practices across DFRS, but also our employees who continue to champion and celebrate diversity within the Service.
Area Manager Clive Stanbrook said: “We are incredibly proud to have been recognised on the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List.
“Derbyshire is a rich and diverse county, made up of many different communities and people who bring a wide range of skills, experiences and cultures to Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service.
“We recognise that equality, diversity, and inclusion run through every aspect of our work and always aim to ensure that all our employees are treated with dignity and respect.
“That applies to job applicants and service users too and is why we remain committed to ensuring that nobody is unfairly discriminated against on the grounds of their gender or gender identity, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, pregnancy, caring responsibilities or employment status.”
