Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is asking for your views in a consultation regarding our budget proposals for the next financial year (2024/25).
The Service has like many across Derbyshire come under increased financial pressure over the past few years due to spiralling costs of inflation, energy and interest rates.
To maintain a sound financial position, we are considering a range of financial savings to be made in 2024/25 to balance our budget and support future investment without affecting the front-line delivery of our services.
Derbyshire Chief Fire Officer/ Chief Executive, Gavin Tomlinson said: “I would like to encourage everyone to get involved in the consultation as we look for ways to make savings while supporting our vision of Making Derbyshire Safer Together.
“Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is your fire and rescue service – it is you, the people of Derbyshire, who we work to keep safe and it is your public money that funds our work, so naturally we want your views.”
