Church Gresley Fire Investigation


A fire investigation into the cause of a fire on Church Street, Church Gresley is complete indicating the fire was started deliberately.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to attend the fire involving 70,000 pallets at 20.51 hours on Sunday 26 May 2019.

Over 200 emergency 999 calls were received reporting the fire that could be seen for several miles.

At the height of the fire, ten fire crews from across Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire attended the blaze.

Derbyshire Constabulary are continuing with their investigation into the circumstances around this incident.
