People Impact Assessment

People Impact Assessments, or PIAs are a way of finding out if our services and employment opportunities are accessible for our communities and employees and do not discriminate in any way.

The process exists to assist the Service in identifying equality and diversity based objectives and targets or the need for future improvement. As a service provider it helps us to ensure that we meet the needs of all the communities we serve.

The PIA process will also help DFRS to gain a greater understanding of the equality and diversity issues around service delivery and employment, whilst making sure that it is consulting with groups, communities and stakeholders, where necessary.
