Annual Governance Statement Incorporating the Statement Of Assurance 2017 18

The annual governance statement is a statutory document which explains the processes and procedures in place to enable the Fire & Rescue Authority to govern Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service effectively. The statement is produced following a review of the authorities governance arrangements and includes an action plan to address any significant governance issues identified.

It also incorporates our Statement of Assurance. The National Fire & Rescue Service Framework for England document requires all Fire & Rescue Services to provide annual assurance to their communities on the following four key areas:

  • financial information
  • governance
  • operational matters
  • regard to the requirements included within framework (captured in the IRMP)
