Don't Get Wrecked

Drink/drug driving not only endangers your life but also the life of others.

In the 3 years from 2017 to 2019 there have been 351 collisions across Derbyshire where one or more driver was impaired with alcohol or drugs, resulting in 386 injured casualties, including 105 with serious injuries, and 23 persons killed.

Throughout December we are running our Don’t Get Wrecked campaign in partnership with Derbyshire police to raise awareness of the dangers of drink and drug driving.

We understand it’s easy to get carried away over the festive season as we’re all looking for something to celebrate, but we urge everyone to get the bus, a taxi, or even take a walk rather than getting behind the wheel intoxicated.

Drink and Drug not only comes with legal penalties, including fines and imprisonment, it can also have a knock on effect throughout your life through increased insurance costs, loss of jobs, and loss of independence – it could even cause you issues with getting into countries such as the USA.

Help us Make Derbyshire Safer Together.. Don’t Get Wrecked.
