Independent Community Inclusion Board

The Independent Community Inclusion Board (ICIB) has been set up to work with Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service to more proactively engage with diverse groups from our communities within Derbyshire.

The ICIB represents the various protected characteristics including but not limited to race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion/belief, age and gender.

The aim of the ICIB is to work in partnership to assist Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service to review existing and adopt new ways of working. The ICIB share ownership of the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service's strategic vision that is underpinned by the Service Plan and Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. It is achieved through a two way dialogue to ensure the needs of the community are understood challenging, changing, improving and supporting the work of Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service in relation to the employment and community safety agenda.

Membership & Meetings

The members of the board are drawn from many diverse community groups living in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis at venues across the County. We always look forward to welcoming new members from the community to the ICIB.

Agendas and minutes of the meetings for the current year are listed below in reverse chronological order.
