Diversity and inclusion strategy and action plan

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is committed to promoting equality, inclusion and diversity.  These key areas drive how we treat each other and how we interact with the communities of Derbyshire to deliver our services.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2021-2024

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service has drafted an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy 2021-2024 which can be accessed below.

DFRS Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy 2021-2024 (pdf 207.70 KB)

The strategy summarises the continuing work towards embedding equality at the heart of all our activities. It is of importance in both our inward facing responsibilities as an employer and our outward facing service delivery activities.

The Strategy, which underpins our annual action plan is monitored through the Service’s Inclusion Performance Board and Inclusion and Equality Forum.

We've developed the strategy using a wide range of information available to us, and would now like to engage more people with an interest in this area - in order to check we are on the right lines, and make sure we have captured all the important issues.
