To avoid erroneous data or exceptional incidents from skewing the averages, incidents where the recorded response time was over an hour or less than one minute have been excluded, in line with the practice in the Home Office response time publications.

Responses to incidents in the Emergency First Responder trial are excluded.

There is a discontinuity in the data in August 2015 when the Service began using a new mobilising system. This new system better captures the precise time calls are received than the mobilisation system in use previously.
