Reserve Fire Crew Needed

Background

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Authority (DFRA) are looking for Reservists to help keep local people safe in the event of industrial action by Firefighters.

Whilst this is a national dispute between the FBU and central Government, DFRA understands their staff are in an extremely difficult position; however the Authority still has a legal obligation to ensure it can continue to provide an emergency response service throughout any local industrial action.

DFRA is therefore looking to recruit more reservist fire crew members who will be trained to respond to a range of fire and rescue incidents. Additional reservists with LGV qualifications and experience will be recruited to drive fire engines and operate the pump.

Reserve fire crew members will be paid £10 per hour during the training period and £150 per 12 hour shift if and when called upon.

To reserve a place on one of our assessment days please contact our recruitment team on 01332 777012. Phone lines are open on Monday 4, Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 November from 0800 to 1700 hours.

*PLEASE NOTE THIS PHONE LINE WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE OUTSIDE OF THESE HOURS
