Fire fatality at Wingerworth near Chesterfield

On Tuesday 8 May 2012, fire crews from Chesterfield, Clay Cross and Matlock attended a fire on Middle Road, Hardwick Wood near Wingerworth, Derbyshire.
Following fire fighting operations the body of a 42 year old woman was found in the garage of the house. Our thoughts and sympathies go out to the family and friends at this sad time.
Community Safety Officers will be providing fire safety advice and reassurance within the community for local residents of Wingerworth and will be located at the library and also the shops on Allendale Road, Wingerworth at the following times:
