Inclusion and Equality Achievements
We have made very good progress over the years on the inclusion and equality agenda. This is reflective of the dedication of our employees, who want to and do make things happen. A few examples of our achievements so far:
- Awarded Level 4 of the Equality Standard for Local Government in 2010
- Service received the "Positive about disabled people" award
- Achieved membership of Stonewall
- Received a total of four national awards from the Asian Fire Service Association and the department of Communities and Local Government
- Awarded the Communities and Local Government (CLG) Strategic Management of Diversity Award
