Independent Community Inclusion Board
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) has set up an Independent Community Inclusion Board (ICIB) to more proactively engage with minority and emerging groups from the diverse communities which we serve. The group represents the various protected characteristics including but not limited to race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion/belief, age and transgender. Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Services Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive Sean Frayne has given his personal support for this important initiative and has helped to bring the ICIB together as a group.
Aim
The primary aim of the Board is to work in partnership with the Service to provide a permanent means for engaging with the communities of Derbyshire. The Board can provide the service with invaluable information and vice versa can feedback information from the service back to their communities. The ICIB also share ownership of the strategic vision that is underpinned by DFRS's Service Plan and Inclusion Strategy.
