Community Work

The Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service does not just respond to emergency situations. We proactively engage with the population of Derbyshire, providing fire safety advice, home fire safety checks and other targeted initiatives some in conjunction with our partner organistations.

The Service has a dedicated Youth Engagement Team that works hard to engage with the youth of Derbyshire. There are a number of programmes aimed at children and young adults; the Youth Engagement Scheme (YES!), the Derbyshire Fire Cadets, and the FireSAFE Scheme.

You can read more about selected community schemes that are run by the Service by clicking on the button link below.

Would you like to support us in providing these schemes to the young people of Derby and Derbyshire? We are now offering the opportunity to fund our work in the community.

Partnership Working

Working with partners helps us to target our resources more effectively and to share expertise. The Service is partnered with many local and national organisations, you can read more about Our Partnerships by following the link below.

Other Community Safety Schemes

Sometimes our partners and other organisations operate community safety programmes that we are not directly involved with, but are happy to support.

You can find out more information about these programmes by clicking on them in the list below.
